When you ride your bike, you're working your legs, but your mind is on a treadmill. When you play chess, your mind is clicking along, but your body is stagnating. Climbing brings it together in a beautiful, magical way. The adrenaline is flowing, and it's flowing all the time. -Pat Ament

Whether you've never put on a harness before, are looking to expand your skill set or just seeking the thrill of exploring the vertical world, rock climbing is an awesome way to commune with Nature. I work with folks of all ages and abilities, from first-timers to skilled, seasoned veterans. Many people equate the hot, summer months with rock climbing (and in some places, like Squamish, this is ideal); but in many places in the lower-48, the summer months can be too hot. Rock climbing is often best in the Spring and Fall when temperatures are more accommodating.

While the majority of my rock climbing offerings are based locally in Squamish, I am often working with guests around N. America. Some of the annual highlights are:

  • Boulder, CO: One of the best places to climb because of its good weather and climbing variety.

  • Red Rocks, NV: In the Fall, the American deserts almost can't be beat; Red Rocks offers some phenomenal routes with the convenience of Las Vegas entertainment, accommodation and dining nearby.

  • Washington Pass, WA: Superb rock climbing with an alpine feel, this is a great place to climb when inclement weather threatens the Coast with rain showers.

  • From the seaside cliffs of Acadia, ME, to the granite domes of the Carolinas and countless venues across the continent, North America has some of the world's premier rock climbing. If you can dream it, we can make it happen together.

Any trip you wish to book with me will require a phone call or email (contact page here). You can check out my availability on the calendar (here). I am often booked by the week though single-day options work great as well. Here's a couple of important things to consider:

  • The rates above assume you will provide your personal climbing gear (helmet, harness, shoes, etc). Please let me know if you do not have this equipment and I will try to find the best gear at the best rental price for you.

  • The rates/ratios above may depend upon your skill and experience and desired objective; if I feel the combination of these requires it, I will recommend adding another guide to our trip.

  • The mountains always dictate what we can do, my job is to give you the best experience possible for the given weather/conditions. Sometimes weather forces us to change our objectives but weather cancellations are not possible.

Rock-climbing days are sold by objective, not simply a set period of time (with the exception of Half Days which are ~4hrs in length and can only be applied to appropriate venues). If you wish to climb "The Squamish Buttress" on the Chief here in Squamish, for example, that's a full day rate even if we climb the route in less time. My focus is to see you both rewarded and satisfied and will do my best to achieve that.
